The 244th jayanthi of legendary carnatic music composer Muthuswami Dikshitar will be held on April 27 and 28 at Arkay Convention Centre, Luz. The event will be inaugurated by the chief guest T. S. Ranganathan, director, Giri Trading Agencies on April 27.
A veena recital by Veena Venkatramani and a violin duet by Dr. M Chandrasekaran and G. Bharathi will follow. On April 28, performances will be given by Swetha Balasubramanian (vocal) and Shailesh Ramamurthy (flute). A thematic concert on ‘Siva Kshetra Mahima’ will be given by veena artistes Jeyaraaj Krishnan and Jaysri Jeyaraaj Krishnan. At R. H. Road, Luz.
