Catholic community to host event at cathedral to express solidarity with Sri Lankans

The Catholic community is hosting a meet in San Thome on Sunday, April 28 to express its sorrow and spiritual solidarity with the victims of the Easter Sunday attack in Sri Lanka.

The meet will also condemn the brutal and heinous acts of terror.

Madras-Mylapore diocese archbishop Dr George Antonysamy has communicated this news to the community in Chennai.

There will be a silent procession followed by a eucharistic adoration.

The event starts at 4.30 pm at the St. Thomas Cathedral campus, San Thome.

  1. Dear Sirs,

I join with all right thinking people in India and condemn the brutal killing of so many people recently in Sri Lanka by the extremists. It is a great unbearable tragedy in recent times. None expected this. I pray the Lord that as per Psalm 7 let the law-abiding people of Sri Lanka be protected with Lord’s grace and also pray that ‘Peace’ prevails.

    Amen.

    Yours,

    M.K. Subramanian
