Here are some of the events to be held at temples in the neighbourhood for the next few weeks…
At Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore
Vasant Utsavam will be held at Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore during the first week of April. For the first ten days, Sri Kapaleeswarar will adorn a special alangaram and will be taken on a veedi purappadu in the evening. For the next few days, the same will be done with Sri Murugan.
At Sri Madhava Perumal Temple, Mylapore
The Ramanavami festival at Sri Madhava Perumal Temple, Mylapore will be held from April 4 to 13. The deity will adorn a special alangaram everyday. On the last day, a special thirumanjanam will be held for the deity (moolavar) in the morning followed by an ul purappadu in the evening. Brahmotsavam celebrations will be held from April 26 to May 7.
At Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, Mylapore
Ugadi will be celebrated at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, Mylapore on April 6. Sri Ramar and Perumal will be taken on a veedi purappadu in the evening. The Ramanavami festival will be celebrated from April 6 to 13. Daily events include a thirumanjanam for Sri Ramar (utsavar) in the morning and an ul purappadu in the evening.
At Sri Velleeswarar Temple, Mylapore
Brahmotsavam celebrations will be held in May at Sri Velleeswarar Temple, Mylapore.
