The Zero Kuppai movement of the Chennai Trekking Club (CTC) has been actively encouraging the cleanup of the Adyar estuary area and has been taking efforts to stop the dumping of waste on the river banks by residents of Srinivasapuram, a colony that fringes the sea and the estuary off Foreshore Estate.
The group has planned a clean-up activity this Sunday and it need some one hundred volunteers to support local resident volunteers.
