Chennai Kalai Theru Vizha (previously known as Urur Olcott Kuppam Vizha) aims to present artistes from different parts of the city at different stages. Mostly, north Chennai artistes get a stage in Mylapore while artistes from side of the city perform in North Chennai.

Tamil Folk Dance by Arunodhaya Youth Troupe from Korukkupet. Oppaari by J P Veeramani. Film director Pa Ranjith in conversation with achievers of North Chennai. Western Music by Anglo-Indian band “Ryan and the Undercovers”

It is good that these folks are accomodated in the festival. But we have been seeing FOLK MUSIC and DANCE every year, from other parts of Tamilnadu
