Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha’s dance festival will be inaugurated on Jan 19 at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet. Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti will confer the title of ‘Natya Kalasarathy’ on Bharatanatyam guru Anitha Guha and on Mohiniyattam dancer Gopika Varma.
Advocate Mohan Parasaran presides. Revathy Ramachandran, director, Kalakshetra Foundation and Urmila Sathyanarayanan will felicitate.
A multi-lingual dance production of Aim for Seva and Anitha Guha’s academy called Bharathanjali will be presented after the inaugural ceremony.
The fest is on till March 10. At T. T. K. Road, Alwarpet. Open to all.
