Sruthi Laya Kendra is hosting its 31st music festival on December 9 at the Asthika Samajam, Venus Colony, Alwarpet. The Guru Surajaananda award will be conferred on Cleveland V .V. Sundaram, and Gowri Manohari award on maestro Vikku Vinayakram with cash money of Rs.25000 to each of them.
Tukaram Ganapathi Maharaj will present the awards and felicitate.
A cash prize for senior musician goes to to kanjira vidwan K. S. Rangachari, Venkita Narasimhan endowment prize to B. Vijayan and N. V. Subramaniam endowment prize to E. P. L. Mutukumaran.
The award event is scheduled on December 9 from 5. 15 pm to 6 00 pm. Then follows a concert by Ramakrishnan Murthy.
