Navadhisha 2018, is a tw0-sessions dance conference organised by Trinity Arts festival and is scheduled for the weekend of 8th and 9th December. It is convened by dancer Dr. Apoorva Jayaraman.
It will be held at R R Sabha, Mylapore and is open to all.
Syntax and Semantics is the focus theme of the academic meet.
On Dec.8, the theme is ‘Syntax’. At 11 am, dancer Alarmel Valli will launch the meet and speak, followed by the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Award to dance guru Birju Maharaj.
Later that morning, the maestro and Saswati Sen, Kathak dancer will chat with dancer Prateeksha Kashi.
Papers will be presented by other dancers, 11.30 am onwards.
On Dec.9, the sessions start at 11.30 a.m. Speakers Kapila Venu, S. Jayachandran and Sreelakhsmy will deliver their talks and finally converse with dancer Sudharma Vaithinayanathan.
