The 23rd nama sankeerthana Taranga Music festival of Sri Narayana Tirtha Swamigal will be held at Sri Sankara Gurukulam, Abhiramapuram from Nov 9 – 11.
On Nov 9, the event will be inaugurated by P. Balavinayagam, deputy general manager, Canara Bank, Circle Office, Chennai. A speech will be given by Dr. P. S. Ulagarakshagan. A nama sankeerthana bhajan by Kalyanarama Bhagavathar and group and an upanyasam by Damodara Dikshidar on ‘Sri Krishna Jananam’ will follow.
Several vocalists including Mambalam Sisters, Swathi Ravichandran and Jayanthi Sridharan will be performing at this event.
On the last day, the title of ‘Namasankeerthana Seva Ratna’ will be conferred on Shriram Kasinathan, Sastra College, Thanjavur. Prizes will be distributed to Tarangam winners.
