Sri Ayyappa Temple in MRC Nagar in R. A. Puram was a busy place early on Saturday morning, the first day of the karthigai season. It was also the day many devotees of Ayyappa chose to start their rituals and practices that will lead to their pilgrimages to Sabarimala temple of the lord.
The devotees in black dhotis and chest bare lined up to receive the ‘mala’ ( neck chain) from priests at the temple.
In the days to follow, more devotees will be at this temple for the lord Ayyappa season.
