The CSI St. Thomas English Church, San Thome celebrated their annual thanksgiving festival on Sep 2 with a special thanksgiving service in the morning.
The presbyter Rev. Richard Ambrose Jebakumar requested the senior most couple in the parish Edwin Joseph and his wife, who were also celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary, to inaugurate the thanksgiving sale after the morning worship service.
The sale had breakfast stalls and a wide spread of homemade eatables, cakes, cool drinks and other delicacies. Fun and games were part of the celebrations too. A picturesque thanksgiving-themed photo booth, a white elephant stall and a new initiative to do away with plastic packing materials were the highlights of the fest this year.
