Snooker fans, get ready to be delighted. Buddy’s, which has been entertaining snooker and billiard players since the late nineties, has recently been taken over by a new management and has moved to an all new premises.
To celebrate the occasion, Abinava Krishna of Buddy’s and Ravi Srinivasan of the Chennai Chess Club conducted a chess tournament for children on Aug 4 and 5 at the swanky cafeteria at Buddy’s.
40 participants and their parents were hosted. The children participated in rapid and blitz competitions with the top four contestants getting cash prizes in each discipline. The prizes were awarded by noted Tamil author Subhashini Thirumalai.
