A few weeks ago, a large area opposite Billroth Hospitals at R. A. Puram was dug up by Metro Water officials to remove a block in the pipeline detected during their routine maintenance work.
Mylapore Times contacted A. K. Ravichandran, AE of area 123, on July 24 to get updates on the work in progress. He says, “The pipeline work has been completed. The block has been removed and sewage is now flowing freely. We are now in the process of setting up the road. To ensure that the part that was dug up withstands the pressure of vehicles, we are putting in a layer of concrete too. That work should be done in a couple of days”.
