More than 800 devotees attended the Maha Sudharshana homam held at Sri Vedanta Desikar Temple, Mylapore on June 30 morning. Nine priests from as far as Srirangam, the Varadaraja Perumal Temple at Kanchipuram and Thiruvalluvar recited hymns and slokas from religious texts at the event.
After the poornahuti, different varieties of rice and sweets were distributed as prasadam to the devotees. Those who did the sankalpam also received a gold-coated silver coin.
