Thottha utsavam will be held at Sri Adi Kesava Perumal Temple, Mylapore on June 10 and June 24 this year. On both the days, Perumal with his consorts Bhoodevi and Sridevi and Chakratalvar will be taken on a procession around the city. Stops will be made en route at the homes of devotees. An archanai will be performed there and prasadam will be distributed.
On June 10, the procession will start at 7 a.m and will cover R. A. Puram, Luz Church Road, Mandaveli, Abhiramapuram and Alwarpet before stopping at Ethiraja Kalyana Mandapam at noon. A thirumanjanam will be held there. In the evening the deity will be brought back to the temple.
On June 24, the procession will start from the temple at 1 a.m. and will cover Teynampet, T. Nagar, West Mambalam, Saidapet, Nandanam and other areas before coming back to the temple in the evening.
Vana Bhojanam will be held for the deity on June 17. The deities will be taken to Sri Vanamamalai Mutt at Triplicane where a thirumanjanam will be held. Later the deities will be brought back to the temple in the evening.
