The Saraswathi Educational Cultural and Charitable Trust is organising the 15th
edition of Vasant Utsav at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple. A series of dance and music
concerts will go on from May 1 to 11, 6:00pm onwards (except on May 4 – 5:30 pm) at the
Navarathri Mandapam.
The festival, dedicated to the memory of Indira Garyali, the founder of the Trust and a
patron of arts will begin with the inauguration presided over by dancer guru Dr.
Sonal Mansingh. The dancer and several other artistes will also be awarded by
Gopalakrishna Gandhi, former governor of West Bengal.
A Bharatanatyam recital at 7pm by the students of Guru Binesh Mahadevan of Akshaya Arts
will follow the inaugural ceremony. Open to all.
