Results of the Class 10 SSLC exam were declared on Wednesday, May 23. Unlike the campus scenes following the announcement of Class 12 results when very few students turned up, this time many local schools were crowded with students, parents and teachers, congratulating each other.At St Antony’s Girls Hr Sec. Cchool, Mandavelipakkam, students were busy filling up the exam result forms and admission forms for class 11.
The school topper is G. Sharmila, who scored an impressive 490 marks out of 500. (photo featured here)
Said Sharmila,”My inspiration is my very own class teacher. She always encouraged me and motivated me to aim high. I worked really hard for the last 3 months and slept only for 4 hours in a day. I even cut off the TV connection in my house and slept only to relax. My hard work bore fruit in the form of my results.”
Aspiring to become an engineer, she says she is going to choose the computer science group in class 11, continuing in the same school.
