Veenavaadhini Sampradaya Sangit Trust (Regd.), based at Venkatakrishna Road, R. A. Puram will be celebrating the 243rd jayanthi of Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar on April 28 and 29 at Arkay Convention Centre, Luz.
The event will be inaugurated by S. Sivakumar, vice president, Sundaram Finance on April 28. On April 29, the chief guest for the evening session is historian Chithra Madhavan.
Recitals will be given by guru T. V. Gopalakrishnan, Jayashree Aravind (veena), Aarti Ananthkrishnan and several others.
A thematic veena concert ‘Lalithopakhyana’ by JT Jeyaraaj Krishnan and Jaysri Jeyaraaj Krishnan will also be a part of the programme on the last day. All are welcome.
