Like every year, this year too, a donation marked Srinivasa Ladies’ Club’s 47th anniversary held at Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Mylapore on Feb 10.
Girija Raman, the secretary, she says, “This year, more than a lakh was donated to Rajan Eye Care Hospital and War Wounded Foundation at New Delhi”.
Girija adds, “We also regularly donate towards education of school and college girls, many a time we take care of a part of their marriage expenses too. And during the arubathimoovar procession held during the panguni festival at Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore we give out 1000 packets of food and buttermilk too”.
