Guru Rukmini Ramani, Yogam Santhanam, Rajam (sister of flautist N. Ramani), B. V. Ganesh Music Academy, Dr. N. Chandramouli (son of flautist M. Natarajan), flautist R. Thyagarajan (son of N. Ramani) and several others will sing Pancharathna Kirtis at the 171th Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana Mahotsavam to be held on Jan 6 at Mathala Narayanan Street, Mylapore. Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana festival is on at Sri Thiagaraja Sangeetha Vidwath Samajam, Thiagarajapuram till Jan 15. On Jan 6, the day will start off with an upanishad parayanam. Later pancharathna krithis will be rendered by eminent artistes. On Jan 15 evening, the portrait of Sri Thyagaraja Swamigal will be taken on a procession. The event will end with Anjaneya utsavam.
