The second week of December was a time to celebrate. The students of Vivekananda College, Mylapore were ready to take the next big step. They were going to graduate.
At the day college celebrations held on Dec 16, the chief guest Dr. P. Duraisamy, vice-chancellor, University of Madras highlighted the importance of education and urged the students to carry forward the message of Swami Vivekananda.
More than 630 students received their degree certificates at the evening college event held on Dec 18. The chief guest at this event was K. Periaiah, additional commissioner of police (traffic).
