This event is organised by Uma Balakrishnan, of Shiuli Boutique and is an attempt to bring together classical music, story telling and saris. Deeptha Vivekanand and Ranjani Sivakumar Siddareddy will present a story telling and music ensemble centered around poets from weaving traditions like Kabir and Thiruvalluvar; a piece called ‘Weavers’ by Sarojini Naidu and lesser known folk tales spun around saris.
Madhu Shukla, a storyteller, will hold the space for all the women who would like to share their sari stories in an interactive session.
