Vempathi’s Margazhi Utsav organised by Kuchipudi Art Academy will be held from Dec 25-31 at R. A. Puram. The festival will be held as part of the birth centenary celebrations of late chief minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. Ramachandran.
O. Panneerselvam, deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu, will inaugurate the event on Dec 25 at 6 p.m. He will unveil the 7 feet bronze statue of saint Siddhendra Yogi. The guests of honour are K. Pandia Rajan, minister for Tamil development culture and archaeology, Dr. Vasudevan Maitreyan, member of parliament and Mylapore MLA Dr. R. Nataraj.
Several dance forms including odissi, mohiniattam, kathak and bharatanatyam will be presented at this festival. At 4, DGS Dhinakaran Road, R. A. Puram.
