The annual December Season provides space for small promoters of the arts who are passionate and keep a low-profile. IT professional Lalitha Ram now based in Bangalore and his small team run Parivadini, best known for webcasting select Carnatic music concerts of vidwans and of young talent.
This evening, Ram launches Parivadini’s ‘season’ concert series at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz Avenue. It is on till December 3.
This year, included in the fest is the Parivadini Pratibha Series Concerts – featuring the brightest young talents chosen through a competitive process. On two days – Dec 2 and 3, from 1 pm to 4 pm, a bunch of young artistes get a one-hour concert space on stage.
Featured in the main, evening concerts schedule are artistes like Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath ( Thursday evening) , Heramba and Hemantha and Ramana Balachandhran and R. Raghu – veena-violin duo – besides Kunnakudi Balamuralikrishna and T N S Krishna.

On Dec.3 morning, Parivadini honours thavil maker Paramasivan with the annual Parlandu Award of Excellence – an award instituted to recognise people who make music instruments.
