To celebrate ‘Clean India Day’, R. A. Puram Residents Association (RAPRA) in association with Greater Chennai Corporation and RAMKY agencies organised a two wheeler rally during the first week of October at R. A. Puram.
Around 40 residents on bikes raised slogans to create awareness about dengue, clean surroundings and garbage segregation.
The rally was flagged off by Subhodh Kumar, deputy commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation, who assured the residents that he would look into the dredging of the Buckingham Canal.
Odomos tubes were distributed to watchmen and maids in the locality.
