The 150th birth year celebrations of Sister Nivedita will be celebrated on Oct 29 at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore.
A rehabilitation programme has been organised for leprosy cured persons in the morning. A special treatment camp for treating their wounds will be held. The chief guest is Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, chief commissioner for persons with disabilities, ministry of social justice and empowerment, Govt. of India.
In the evening, Dr. Ambika Kameshwar and the students of RASA will participate in a cultural programme. A Tamil book ‘Life of Sister Nivedita’ by Swami Asutoshananda will be released by Swami Satyajnanananda, secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Students Home. A talk on sister Nivedita will be given by Ila. Ganesan, Member of Parliament.
