It has been raining steadily from this morning. Though this has brought relief to the people, streets are already beginning to get water logged.
Here is a picture shot outside Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, on Fourth Cross Street, R. K. Nagar, Mandaveli. The Corporation had laid drains a few months ago in preparation for the monsoon, but they don’t seem to have helped.
The front gate of the school is still flooded under a few inches of water and students will have to wade through it to get out of the school. ‘Since it has been raining continuously, the water hasn’t drained. If it stops for a bit, it should’, hoped the watchman who was on duty this morning.
