Four students of Vidya Mandir, Mylapore bagged medals at the international Isshinryu Karate and Kubudo Championship held on Aug 26 and 27 at JJ Indoor Stadium, Kilpauk.
The students, who had to compete with participants from Sri Lanka, Nepal and Singapore, bagged silver and bronze medals and the overall championship trophy.
The medal winners were C. P. Rahul of class V, Saurav Arunkumar of class VIII, S. Varunshankar of class VIII and P. B. Anand of class V. They were coached by Sensei S. Vikram and Sensei Shantharam.
