September 20 was an exciting day for the students of St. Anthony’s Girls School, Mandavelipakkam. A team of academicians, teachers and students from Malaysia led by the country’s minister for education, Datho. P. Kamalanathan visited the campus.
The minister and delegates were received and honoured by P. A. Naresh, joint director of education, Manoharan, chief educational officer, correspondent Rev. Sr. Antoniammal and the headmistress Rev. Sr. Jasintha Victoria.
The event started off with a procession by the school band who led the guard of honour. Later a cultural programme was put up along with an exhibition on the various facets of Tamil literature.
