Naadhabrahman’s 15th year Sangeetha Raga Mahotsavam Art festival will be held from Oct 1 – 9 at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz. The festival will be inaugurated on Oct 1 by Dr. Anita Sumath, judge, Madras High Court. She will confer the title of ‘Naadhalaya Samraagni’ on mridangam artiste Dandamudi Sumathi Rama Mohana Rao and Ghatam artiste Sukanya Ramgopal. A concert by Padma Shankar on the violin and the awardees will follow.
Highlights include vocal recitals by Sikkil Gurucharan, Sriranjani Santhanagopalan and Akkarai Sisters, namasankeerthanam by Kalyanaraman Bhagavathar, upanyasams by Dr. U. Ve. Anatha Padmanaba Chariyar and P. Swaminathan, discourses and more. 5 p.m. onwards.
