South Mada Street and Mandaveli Street, two very busy market spaces have come alive on the eve of Ayudha puja.
Dozens of hawkers are selling beaten rice/ pork, fruits, banana leaves, thoranams and more for Friday’s pumas, though most shops will have then done tonight.
Sales have been brisk since morning though hawkers are making sure they have sufficient cover because of the overcast skies.
A set of four thoranams sold at Rs. 20 and a padi of pork at Rs.10. Fruits cost a bit.
