To celebrate the World Breastfeeding Week (August 1st to August 8th 2017), the MILCC Centre in CIT Colony ( at 2/1 Basement Floor, 2nd Cross Street, 1st Main Road, CIT Colony, Mylapore) Chennai 600 004, is holding a coffee klatch on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 11.00 a.m. at the Clinic.
Some nine years ago, the MILCC CLinic was set up by pediatricians, Dr. S. Subramaniam and Dr. Meenakshi Subramanian and Dr. Padmini Balagopal (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant) for this specific purpose – to educate and guide young mothers.
Since then more than a few thousands of new mothers and babies have received help and guidance and now, after several coffee klatches later, this year will see a new set of mothers and babies coming together to exchange experiences and pick each other’s ideas to problem solve day-to-day issues, and questions.
Sharing a cup of coffee, Padmini and nurse, Mercy Nixon will help to bring every question or problem or concern to a closure. Each mother has built herself a tool box of ideas from her experiences bringing up baby and these ideas form the basis of a give and take session.
