Bhaavaarpanam, a festival which marks the celebration of the life and work of guru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer by his disciple and founder of Kala Sadhanalaya dance school, Revathi Ramachandran, will be held on Aug 20 this year.
The festival will be inaugurated in the morning by Sheela Balaji, chairperson and managing trustee, AIM for Seva.
In the evening, Dr. Pappu Venugopala Rao, secretary, The Music Academy, presides. Odissi exponent Darshana Jhaveri will be felicitated.
Recitals by Revathi Ramachandran and her students, a Manipuri drum dance by Brojen Singha and several other events will be held . At Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 9.30 a.m. onwards.
