July 5. Two students of Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, R. A. Puram, Akhil Nair and Shreya Sandipta Khuntia, were visibly excited. Arrangements were being made to swear them in as the head boy and head girl of the prefectorial board there.
As they waited for the chief guest Commodore Vijesh. K. Garg to arrive, Akhil and Shreya looked back at their memorable journey. The selection. Their intense campaigns. The electronic voting process.
Soon it was time for an inspiring talk by the chief guest. He struck the right chord when he echoed the views of their principal Dr. Swaminathan Krishna on leaders and leadership.
And after a solemn ceremony, it was back to work for these young leaders.
