The Marina is always abuzz. Not just on weekends. And this morning its sidewalk and sands were stages for yoga enthusiasts. To mark International Yoga Day, a few hundred practioners took their places on the sidewalk and went through a session of guided yoga practice, something they seem to have been at every morning.
Many were attired in stark green Tees; others in simple loose clothes for the occasion.
Morning walkers also joined the yoga groups to enlarge the community.
The skies remained a tad grey after the good spell of rain 48 hours ago and the gentle weather of Tuesday.
June 21 is also International Music Day and there are a few events to mark this milestone – one such was a unplugged concert at Nageswara Rao Park this morning.
Vocal and flute music from two artistes who sat on a rug in a corner of the greens and performed without plugging into a audio system; letting the music float around the walkers who rarely miss their morning date here.
