A bala gurukulam camp for students was held by the Mylapore Trio and Sugathan of Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation recently.
Children were introduced to the various facets of tradition and culture including poojas, festivals, traditional games, yoga therapy, dance, wire work and block printing.
They were taken around the Sivan temples in the neighbourhood where the ancient history of the temples and the stala puranams were explained. They also visited Vivekanandar Illam and learnt its history.
