Veenavaadhini Sampradaya Sangit Trust at Venkatakrishna Road, R. A. Puram is celebrating the 242nd jayanthi of guru Muthuswamy Dikshitar on April 29 and 30.
The event will be inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Malathi Rangaswami, vice president, Music Academy, Chennai on April 29. On April 30, the chief guest is V. Ramnarayanan, editor-in-chief, Sruti Magazine.
Several artistes including Dr. M. Narmadha (violin), JT Jeyaraaj Krishnan and Jaysri Jeyaraaj Krishnan (veena) will perform at this event. At Arkay Convention Center, Luz, Mylapore, 5 p.m. onwards.
