A special prayer for rain has been arranged at Sri Karaneeswarar Temple, Bazaar Road, Mylapore tomorrow morning. Sri Thiruganansambandar’s pathigam will be read and a varuna japam will be held.
Devotees will then carry the water used for the japam in a procession around the Mada streets. Later the water will be used to perform an abhishekam for the deity. 7 a.m. onwards.
