Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is presenting the “Bhavan’s P. Obul Reddy and P. Gnanambal Memorial Award” instituted by P. Vijaykumar Reddy and Dr. Preetha Reddy for life time achievement to bharatanatyam exponent, Urmila Satyanarayanan.
The award will be presented on Sunday, April 16 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
Prabha Sridevan, retired judge, Madras High Court, is the chief guest. L. Sabaretnam, chairman, Bhavan’s Chennai Kendra felicitates. K. N. Ramaswamy will propose the vote of thanks. A dance performance will be given by Urmila. All are welcome. At East Mada Street, Mylapore, 10 a.m.
Really very happy to note Smt.Urimila Satyanaryan,,getting lifetime achievement award,,a perfect classical Bharatnayam Dancer,,,and an excellent mentor and Guru to many of the desicples,,her service to the cultural world,,appreciable,,she gave many of the stunning thematic performance,,,take part in this event will be a memorable for me ever,,,,,
