The Kuppuswami Sastri Research Institute situated inside the Madras Sanskrit College, Mylapore has for the past year been celebrating its 70th anniversary. Books were published and national seminars/ workshops were organised where leading scholars from all over the country participated.
To mark the end of the year long celebration, the institute is organising its valedictory function on Feb. 25 at the TAG Centre, Alwarpet. Former governor of West Bengal, M. K. Narayana will deliver the valedictory address and will release a book ‘Sri Padukasahasram of Sri Vedanta Desika’ with Tamil trans-composition by R. Kesava Ayyengar and English translation by D. Ramaswami Iyengar. K. Parasan, former attorney general, Govt. of India will receive the first copy. At 69, T. T. K. Road, Alwarpet, 6 p.m.
