Sundaram Finance MYLAPORE FESTIVAL; Day One sets the tone on Thursday

mf-day-1-danceDay One of the Sundaram Finance Mylapore Festival kept to its tradition; opening the fest with a mike-less tala-vadya classical music concert at Nageswaraa Rao Park, Luz by sishyas mentored by maestro Vikku Vinayakram on Thursday morning.

Later in the evening, the east side of the Sri Kapali Temple zone came alive; food, crafts and Co opted saris went on mf-day-1-food-1sale in the inner streets while three photo displays came up on some pavements.

The Main Stage began with nadaswaram concert by sishyas of Mylai Rajendran and more followed, ending with a Bharatnatyam production based on the works of Subramania Bharathiar, by sishyas of guru Saikripa Prasanna.
