At Kumara Rani’s Chettinad Vidyalaya (seen in the picture), the teachers and tiny tots came dressed up in all finery depicting the rich cultural heritage of each state.
The flag was hoisted by the headmistress of the school Aruna Balasubramanian.
Bamboola Play School at R. A. Puram celebrated their sports day and Republic Day yesterday. Games like blocks and buckets, a doll race, ball and spoon and relay races had the kids squealing with joy. Medals and cups were awarded to the winners.
At Gowrin Special School at San Thome, a choir group presented patriotic songs followed by a fancy dress dance.
