70 adults and children, dressed in traditional attire, participated in the Bhakthi walk organised by the Mylapore Trio and members of Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation on Jan 1. Singing bhajans, thirupaavai and namavalis, the group went around the four Mada streets of Sri Kapali Temple, Mylapore.
Young girls and women performed kummi there. A performance was also given by dancers Gayathri Krishnaveni Lakshmanan and Suganthan Mohandass. The event ended with a visit to the temple.
