Madras Players, the oldest English theatre group in the country, is staging ‘Water’ (an English adaptation of Komal Swaminathan’s seminal play “Thanneer Thanneer”, which was also made into an award winning Tamil movie by K Balachander) this weekend in Museum Theater, Egmore.
The play is directed by theatre veteran P. C. Ramakrishna, a resident of Alwarpet.
Madras Players has staged ‘Water’ all across the country and is now staging it again in the city to commemorate the 80th birthday of the late playwright Komal Swaminathan,
