Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial Trust and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore will be celebrating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 141st birthday on Oct 31 at Bhavans, Mylapore. The chief guest is N. Gopalswamy, former chief election commissioner, Govt. of India.
Guests of honour are M. K. Narayanan, former governor of West Bengal and N. Vittal, former chief vigilance commissioner, Govt. of India. A special address will be given by columnist N. Gurumurthi. Prizes will be distributed to winners of oratorical competitions. Later, national integration songs will be sung by students of Bhavan’s Sargam Group led by Dr. Sudha Raja.
