The Indian Institution of Technical Arbitrators (IITArb), non-profit professional body of engineers and architects located at Luz Church Road, Mylapore, conducted an international conference on ‘Challenges in domestic and international arbitration’ on Sep 23 and 24 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Alwarpet. The conference was inaugurated by Justice Huluvadi G Ramesh, judge, Madras High Court and was presided over by P. R. Seshadri, president, IITArb.
More than 250 delegates from all over the world participated in this conference. 24 papers were presented by eminent authors from across the globe including USA, UK, Iran, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Nepal and India. The need to identify hurdles and evolve remedial measures in arbitration and several other issues were discussed at this conference.
