Chettinad Vidyashram’s chess team (under 19 category) was awarded the second place at the CBSE South Zone Chess Tournament held from Sep 8 – 10 at Podar International School, Pune. They also won the second place (under 11) under the open category with 9 match points against 6 games.
Several students also received board prizes and silver/bronze medals for their performance. The team has been qualified for the national level championship to be held at Varanasi in December this year. The school is located at R. A. Puram.
