More than 300 people gathered at Sri Kalyana Nagar Association, Mandavelipakkam today morning (Aug 18) to celebrate Avani Avittam, a vedic ritual practised by the Hindu community.
Conducted once a year, men change their holy thread on this day accompanied by relevant rituals.
