On Sunday June 19, RAPRA, the community based body that covers R A Puram joins hands with RamKy, the private agency that clears garbage in some parts of the city including this to drive up a waste clearance campaign.
Volunteers on both sides plan to visit all the roads in R.A.Puram, traveling in a mike-speaker fitted in an autorikshaw.
There will be an audio announcement seeking the co operation of residents in management of house garbage.
The auto will halt in important junctions and the audio will be played repeatedly, says Dr Chandrasekaran, a senior community leader here.
He says residents are requested to participate and extend their support in the management of garbage.
He said residents can accompany in two-wheelers to bring some attention to the issues.
The programme will start at 8 a.m. at Puthu Kovil on 1st Cross Street.
