Thousands of people are visiting Sri Kapali Temple since the grand maha kumbhabishekam took palce on Sunday morning. They are here to take in whatever they can of the temple that is still bathed in the colours of the event.
On Monday evening, over 3000 people must have visited the temple. While some shot pictures with their smartphones, others dug into the homam kundams and picked up a bit of the mix of ash and mud left behind after the marathon rituals that were performed in the north prakaram of the temple.
Workers were busy removing all the extra structures used for the Sunday event and police men and women were on duty here since the stream of visitors was high even as late at 9 p.m.
